A little after nine, the phone rang and I answered it. I had a repeat of the conversation with my girlfriend from last Sunday. After I hung up the phone, I had to admit that it would be too strange of an event for me to have had a premonition about my girlfriend dumping me from a dream in which I’d had that same premonition. The only conclusion I could come up with was that I had experienced all this before. Around ten thirty, there was a knock on the door, and I found a girl with long blonde-hair with a bow in it and greyish eyes standing on the step.

Before she could say anything, I pulled her inside and said, “Right on schedule, Veronica. It's time for you to explain some things.”

After an ancient citadel is unearthed beneath the town common on Monday, anthropology student Loyd Alexanderson finds himself at the center of a battle against the Hooded Nightmare, an evil older than time. Come Saturday, the world as he knows it will be rent asunder. One week isn't enough time to stop it, but what about two? Ten? A hundred? Using a chamber in the citadel discovered by his classmate, Veronica, the week can be repeated indefinitely, but only they can remember what's happened before. Can they prevent the destruction wrought by the Hooded Nightmare, or are they doomed to an eternity of their Last Week?
